Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not Bad It's been over a year since I bought these. Zipper on right boot blew out, both had leather at toes deteriorated, had to replace insoles a few times. Tread is worn badly on both of them. And they still keep the water out better than a fresh pair of navy boots. However, they are horrible in relatively light snow, just eats the leather off the toe. I kept them polished, too...really mad about that. Needs work. Let's not forget the Velcro straps, which lost grip after 9 months. And have an annoying tendency to detach. If Magnum could make these without side zip, I'd buy 'em. If Magnum is going to do pull tabs, make sure they can be tucked(and STAY tucked) inside boot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boots I work on my feet. In the last 10 years of ownership I worked low voltage, assistant brewer, and now plumber. They have held on time and time again. It's age is showing now and looking to buy a new pair of magnums! Zipper starting to fail and heal starting to rip.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor service and poor product I am far from happy with this buy. First off the boots are comfortable they are nice fit on my feet but that in no way makes up for all the problems. Their idea off one-day over night shipping is 3 business days, I ordered on early on the 8th and did not get my boots till the 11th. Got to wear them once and the zipper broke on the boot the second time I go to put them on. Only thing as poor as the the boot is the customer service. Each time I call seem to only get answering machines. Saying they will get back to me, thats worse then being on hold because its the 13th and they still have not even returned my call on the slow order.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Accident I was in a bad motorcycle accident on May 27, 2011 in which I was struck by a car. After surgery through the night, the surgeon came walking into the room on the 28th and said that "if it wasn't for the boot you were wearing we wouldn't be having this conversation." The boot saved my foot from being ripped off my leg and the surgeon saved both my foot and my boot. Thank you Magnum for such a superior product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE MY NEW BOOTS This is the second pair of Magnum boots I have owned. I had a pair about 12 years ago when I was in the Air Force and loved them. When I was looking for a new pair of motorcycle boots these were my only option. It's hard to find a side zipper, waterproof, safety toe boot. I don't know why but they are hard to find. After having these boots for about three weeks I love them, they fit great, I can wear them 12-13 hours without any problems, and my feet don't sweat like with other boots. The zippers work great once my boots broke in and I got the laces tied right. The only problem I have is with the left boot, my shifter has wore the finish off, I hope I can fix it with some black polish... other than that I don't think I will own another boot. Thanks Magnum, and keep up the great work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WORST CONDITIONS POSSIBLE I started my career in the marine time industry as an engineer and bought a pair of these boots. In an average temperature of 130 degrees plus with diesel, heavy oils, and steel decks, the boots simply would not quit. The only part of the boot that became worn was the toe area where the leather began to deteriorate with constant smacking over time. A great boot and a great purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best Boot that I have found, hopefully it will continue to improve. I just ordered my third pair of these workboots. I work for a prison in the maintenance dept. I picked these boots because of its resistance to chemicals, bacteria and the composite toe. The first pair lasted 8 months before the tread wore out. The second pair almost lasted a year before the side zipper blew out. I didn't take advantage of the 1 year warranty because I would probably only get one or two more months out of the tread. Don’t get me wrong, I love these boots and I especially love Magnum’s philosophy about people having quality shoes and the pride they have in their product. They only reason I am posting this review, is that I hope they are still trying to make their products better. My goal is to get one pair to last a full year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It has it all It has it all. Comfort, reliability, and protection. When I never know what the next call will bring, I am always confident that my feet are going to be getting me home safely at night. With the ion-mask technology, I don't have to worry about stepping in blood, or blood dripping on my boots. With the Composite Toe, I can arrive at a MVC, and not worry about my toes. With the Side Zip, I can sit on a rig for a 24-hour shift, and not take my boots off once. That is why I wear Magnum.

If my foot is 25cm long and narrow, what boot would fit best?

Asked by: courtneydover
A 25cm long foot would be a men's size 8 or women's size 9. In addition, we would recommend going with Med width vs. Wide width to better suit a narrow foot.

With having a zipper, is the boot still 100% waterproof? I'm shopping for a pair of boots to use for wildland firefighting and need something that's dry and comfortable for 14+ hours a day on the fireline.

Asked by: brnttws
You'll need an NFPA approved Wildland boot if you are in the US.

I've been wearing Wolverine 8" Steel Toe Metaguard Boot W10392 size 10.5 3E or 11 3e for years (11 3e are a little sloppy).  Don't like my boots tight.  What size Magnum  Stealth Force 8.0 CT would be recommended?

Asked by: Draeger
If you found a good fit with the size 10.5 3E, I would recommend sticking with that size for the Stealth Force 8.0 CT boots. These boots fit true to size for most of our customers.

How much do the Stealth Force 8.0 SZ CT Waterproof Ion-Mask™ weigh? Are they heavy on the feet, especially after 12 hours?

Asked by: Rus M
The Stealth Force 8.0 SZ CT weighs in at 25oz per boot for a US size 9. As many of our customers have told us, these boots are very comfortable, even after long hours of use. They were built light-weight, without sacrificing crucial support, durability, or comfort.

Do any of your EMS boots offer puncture protection?  I have a pair of your boots that are very comfortable, and would like to get another pair for my new job as a paramedic, but I would really like puncture protection for working around auto wrecks.

Asked by: Paul
Hi Paul, Unfortunately none of our black EMS boots have a puncture resistant plate in them. The boot we carry that does have puncture resistance is the Halifax 6.0 and Halifax 8.0.

G'day MB. I just wondered if you happen to have a shoe size guide in centimetres I could refer to, in order to help me get the right boot size when ordering online. My foot is 29.3cm in length so what would that be in US/AUS size?

Asked by: AdamOz
Adam, A 29.3cm foot length would translate to a size US Men's 13 for most Magnum boots. Hope this helps!

Looking for a boot that I can wear climbing ladders. I own a roofing company 58 yrs. Doctor says find a boot designed for ladder climbing.  Can you help? Jeff

Asked by: Jeff 123
Jeff, We carry an assortment of boots that could be suited for your trade that requires the use of ladders. There are different options for different scenarios. If you spend a significant amount of time standing on the ladder, a steel or composite toe will be beneficial, due to the less flexible outsole surface between your foot and the ladder, giving you more support. I would recommend the Austin Low Waterproof Steel Toe, Austin Mid Waterproof Steel Toe, or Precision Ultra Lite II Waterproof Composite Toe in this scenario. These boots also have aggressive heel and toe outsole patterns giving you good traction on the ladder. However, a non-safety toe boot will be better for more climbing and less standing on ladders. If you will be climbing ladders more than standing on them I would recommend the Foreman 6" Insulated Waterproof, it does not have a safety toe, which would give you more flexibility and a better feel for the ladder. It also has a flat heel surface giving you a good platform to step on. I hope these recommendations will help.
