Viper Pro 5.0 Side Zip Waterproof is rated 3.2 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't stop wearing 'em I've been out of security work about three years, using more brains more than brawn these days. But even as a photojournalist I continue to wear these boots, as well as a low-cut version for warmer weather. I like knowing that in Chicago winters I'm not going to slip on the ice or end up with cold, wet footwear after a few blocks in the slush and snow. I actually like the low-cut a bit better because of the steel shank in the arch, but both models are excellent and I keep them looking nice with a soft terry cloth and Bio-Green clean spray. Cleans up a dirty shoe in no-time. On the low cuts, which are not billed as WP, but are pretty darned good at keeping moisture out, I use i part vinegar and 3 parts water to get the salt stains off. The Viper Pro seems pretty impervious to salt stains because it doesn't let the moisture permeate the outer leather in the first place. I've had 45 years of back pain, under control, and further protected by these super solid boots. Photo is of the Viper Pro after two winters, just cleaned with the method I outlined.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not my first choice I bought these boots after complaining about Magnum boots were coming apart after less than a year worth of wear. These boots are uncomfortable and I hope they break in better. The zipper part folds inward, rubbing and causing discomfort throughout the day on my ankles. The bend at the toes presses against my feet. By the end of the week, it feels like my left big toe has an ingrown toenail. I have only had these boots for a few weeks, but I'm wearing them 4 days a week for work. I wouldn't recommend these boots to anyone and if they don't get better I wouldn't recommend Magnum brand boots to ANYONE.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great light weight boot! I have had these for a couple months now and have worn these for some light running / training as well as my academy boot. The boot shines up nice and performs well for work on the street. No problem with delivery and the overall order. Everything was expedient and professional. I plan on getting another pair of Magnum boots for the dead of winter as I live in Wisconsin and it gets pretty cold. So far I have worn these boots in 90 degrees F to 40 degrees F with no issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from overall one of the best shoes I had these shoes over a month now and I must say that these are one of the most comfortable shoes I have had and handled the water without getting wet inside the shoe. I was in the rain for a whole day and my feet were dry but the next day the water did start to come in but overall really good shoes.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from not what i expected I bought these boots and they are not what i was expecting memory form on bottom of boots it feels like any other bottom I have only had them on for 4 hours and since it was spring break and I did not get them returned in time I guess they are mine.

What men's size is equalivent to a women's size 7?

Asked by: Sandy317
A women's size (7) is the equivalent of a men's (5.5). Most of our men's boots start at a men's (7). The Viper Low does start as low as a men's (4) and increases by full sizes until a men's (7).

Hello, I will like to know if Viper pro 5.0 will be good for roofing. I'm looking for something that will help me have a good grip when I go on a roof and granules are falling of the roof. Please advice me witch will be better thank you.

Asked by: kp12345
I worked as a roofer for many years. If you want the best boots to walk on roofs with loose granules, and hot shingles that easily get damaged when walked on in high heat and sun, I would recommend a boot such as the Herman work boot that has a softer neoprene sole that is flat from heel to toe. A boot that does not have a molded in heel (completely flat) will give you maximum traction and the neoprene is soft enough to not damage hot shingles that easily smear when you walk on them on a roof with a steep pitch etc...Boots with harder soles and lugs on them such as these are not good for roofing.

when will you have the viper 5.0 size 15 medium wth. in stock

Asked by: Hamm
The Viper Pro 5.0 size 15 medium width will be in stock on June 1st, 2016. If you need a boot immediately, we would recommend the Stealth Force 6.0 SZ Black Med which currently has size 15 in stock.

The 5.0 side zip shows a weight of 19OZ. is that per boot or for both.

Asked by: Steve B
Great question! Our weight ratings are for an individual boot, in a US men's size 9 and US Women's size 7 for Women's product.

I work for the postal service and walk an average of 5 miles a day. I've worn magnum boots for years. These boots are great, but do they come in a size 4E? I have wide feet and issues with ingrown toenails.

Asked by: LV Mailman
Unfortunately we don't carry any styles in 4E, only 3E. Feel free to reach out anytime if you would like advice on which boot to pick.

Woman's size 8.. i currently wear the women's stealth force 6.0 side zip, but you no longer make it in woman's size side zip, so what size would I wear in these

Asked by: Gina
Most likely a 6.5, maybe a 6. We recommend trying on a pair of Magnums in store if you are unsure.
